Managing Director, Business Development

Mr. O’Lear leads the business development and investor relations for the firm’s fund offerings.  Chris delivers the firm’s business plans, fund offerings and firm achievements to the alternative asset and investment management industry.   Prior to joining Chinus, Chris was Managing Director and a Global Head of Emerging Market (“EM”) Sales (US, London and Brazil) and Co-Head of FX Sales UK for Societe Generale from 2010 - 2015.  Chris developed the EM platform on a global scale and drove the business development and client relations.  Prior to Societe Generale, Mr. O’Lear was Executive Director and Head of Asia Rates Sales for Morgan Stanley Asia.  While living in Hong Kong he connected institutional clients to Morgan Stanley Asia products both locally and abroad with the firm's global sales forces. Chris joined Salomon Brothers New York in 1996 and has been involved in Global Emerging Market sales since joining Citigroup EM Sales in 1998.

He has managed teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Brazil and New York through all of Emerging Markets best and most challenging years.  He graduated with a B.A. from Gettysburg College in 1995 with a concentration in International Business and graduated from Cross Cultural Center for Studies (CCCS), Sevilla Spain in 1992 with a concentration in European Economics.  He is NASD/SEC registered, series 3, 6, 7 and 24.
